The balanced composition of the entire piece is underlined by the unique asymmetrical arrangement. The undisputed star is the chronometric balance arranged at 6 o'clock.
Description
Specially designed and handmade for Only Watch in Sylvain Pinaud’s atelier, this Unique Origine reflects the watchmaker's philosophy. It pays tribute to the finest achievements of the art of watchmaking.
For the first time, the two-tone dial is guilloched with a personal and contemporary pattern.
The complex, multi-layered dial, plays on contrasts and an extraordinary finish to offer perfect readability. To make this creation unique, special attention was paid to the different shades of blue that blend in the piece.
The traditional flame blue is applied on the hands and discreetly and originally on the balance bridge.
The unique blue dial, highlighted by its black-polished steel cartouche, accentuates depth and contrast. The different finishes give this timepiece a spectacular dynamic, highlighted by the large balance wheel.
The construction of the movement has been carried out without compromise in terms of reliability and chronometry. The design and manufacture of the components are made to ensure a long life and to guarantee an irreproachable precision for centuries.
Each element of the watch is proportionate to the soft, round language of the case. The lugs have a graceful sweep, offering comfortable wearability with a suave feeling of formal elegance.

The brand
Sylvain Pinaud
After graduating in 1998, Sylvain Pinaud began by restoring vintage timepieces for small ateliers, graduating to larger watch manufactures. This experience enabled him to gain solid experience with grand complications as well as the art of prototyping.
He decided to become an independent watchmaker in the small town of Sainte-Croix, Switzerland.
Sylvain devoted his time to making high-end timepieces, with one goal: to offer hand-crafted timepieces through time-honored traditions and values, at the crossroads of art, science and craftsmanship.
Sylvain Pinaud made his debut with the creation of his Chronograph Monopoussoir, presented in 2018.
After 3 years of research, design and development, Sylvain Pinaud presented his new caliber in March 2021: the Origine. This three hand timepiece is elegant and timeless with a horizontal, asymmetrical layout of the dial and a large chronometric balance wheel at 6 o'clock.
In November 2022, the Origine won the «Horological Revelation» GPHG Prize.
